Finally, Messi Admits Only One Player is Better Than Him Right Now
Barcelona hitman Lionel Messi has expressed his
admiration for Andres Iniesta’s foot-work on the
ball. Messi alongside Iniesta are graduates of
Barcelona’s Team B and the Argentine revealed
that though they both play similarly but the
Spaniard still has edge over him.

“I always picture him with the ball at his feet.
That’s the way I have got used to seeing him.
He does everything well, with simplicity,” he said.
“At times, it may look like he’s not doing
anything, but in fact he’s doing it all. Everything
is different with Andrés.
The hardest thing to do in football is to make it
look like everything is easy, effortless, and that’s
Andrés. Andrés and I are similar in that we both
use our bodies a lot, to avoid opponents. But he
has something that always amazes me: there’s
always a moment when you think you’re going to
catch him, when you think you’re going to get
the ball off him, but you can’t. He’s not
especially quick, but he has that ability to
always get away from you, which comes from
his technique.”

MESSI SET TO RETURN FOR DEPORTIVO
MESSI SET TO RETURN FOR DEPORTIVO AND MAN CITY CLASHES
Lionel Messi is stepping up his recovery from an adductor injury and is set to feature in some capacity in Barcelona's La Liga game against Deportivo La Coruna after the international break.
The Argentine attacker was injured in the 1-1 draw at home to Atletico Madrid on September 21 and has played no part in his side's last three matches: a 5-0 win at Sporting Gijon, a 2-1 victory away to Borussia Monchengladbach and a 4-3 loss at Celta Vigo last Sunday.
The Catalan club originally annunced that the 29-year-old would be out for around three weeks and in that respect, the break for World Cup qualifiers has come at a good time for the Blaugrana.
While his Argentina team-mates toiled in a 2-2 draw against Peru in Lima on Thursday night, Messi continued his recovery with gym work in Barcelona and posted a picture on his Instagram account on Friday, with the description reading: “Just another day.”
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was suffering with pain in his left adductor prior to the previous international break and made the problem worse by turning out for Argentina in his comeback game against Uruguay last month, returning ahead of time to Barcelona and missing the World Cup qualifier against Venezuela.
That restricted his movement and in attempting to compensate by placing more weight on his right side, he picked up the new problem - a strain in the adductor of his right thigh - against Atletico.
Barcelona are wary about bringing back the forward too soon, but his progress has been good and all being well, he will feature as a substitute in the Primera Division clash at home to Deportivo on October 15.
"Messi plays it all because he is the best in the world," Barca boss Luis Enrique said after the 7-0 win over Celtic in early September. But the Asturian may have to give his star man more rest to avoid a recurrence of the groin problems in the weeks to come.
"Without Messi, we all lose," Luis Enrique later said. “Football loses. We have to find solutions, knowing that with Messi we’re very strong. We know that we have to win.”
The plan now is for Messi to return for the crunch clash against Manchester City in the Champions League on October 19, but before that, Barca fans can expect a cameo on Saturday versus Depor.

Why Barça, Man city want Hector Bellerin
It’s no secret that Barcelona are looking to bring Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin back to the Nou Camp – they’ve admitted so themselves.
The 21-year-old has rapidly emerged as one of the most exciting young talents in English football but his roots very much lie in Catalonia, just as Cesc Fabregas’ did and always will do.
Fabregas transformed from a Gunners hero into one of the club’s many pantomime villains following moves to Barca – and subsequently Chelsea – and there’s a feeling that Bellerin could also be heading for the Emirates exit doors in the not-so-distant future.
Reports now suggest the Spanish full-back could be tempted to leave north London for his former club or even Premier League rivals Manchester City.
If Bellerin were to return to Barca the move would likely be understood by even the most diehard Arsenal fans – just as many eventually came to terms with Fabregas’ departure – but a transfer to the Etihad would be a devastating blow for Gooners.
Worryingly, Barca’s vice-president Jordi Mestre recently stated: ‘We’ve already seen him as a Cule! He’s a great player, there’s no doubt about that.’
But why are three of Europe’s juggernauts battling it our to sign this lad who’s only made 88 appearances in professional football?
He creates chances
It appears Bellerin is more than just a full-back who’s able to turn on the afterburners…Héctor Bellerín has provided more Premier League assists (6) than any other defender since the start of last season.
Arsenal supporters are well aware of his ability in the final third and the stats are there for all to see.
The Spain man, who made his international debut earlier this summer, has provided the most assists (6) of all defenders in the English top flight since the start of last season.
Watch out Mesut Ozil, he’s coming for your title!
He’s got serious gas – obviously
Anybody who has seen Bellerin play in the flesh can attest that the Spanish dynamo has a serious pair of wheels on him.
This was made glaringly obvious for Chelsea fans when the right-back chased down fellow Pedro from an improbable distance in Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat of their London rivals at the end of September.
The likes of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard rarely threatened at the Emirates as a result of Arsene Wenger’s rapid defence.
Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi, Nacho Monreal, in addition to Bellerin, would all back themselves in a one-on-one race and many are claiming the Gunners may have the best defence in the Premier League at present.
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford recently claimed Bellerin is the quickest player he’s faced, stating: ‘I was on the left & I knocked it past him, got to the ball but then I couldn’t turn because I could see him coming.’
His dribbles are incisive
Héctor Bellerín: Has completed more dribbles (76) than any other Premier League defender since the start of last season
Bellerin’s incisive runs down the right flank have become a terrifying prospect for any opposing manager who has to face Arsenal.
As already discussed, the lad has pace but, more importantly, he uses his brain too which is reflected in his impressive set of statistics.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Bellerin has completed more dribbles than any defender in the English top division since the beginning of the 2015/16 campaign.
The fact this stat is so predictable is a testament to the youngster and shows what a force he has become in such a relatively short amount of time – two seasons to be precise.
It’s no wonder Barcelona have realised their mistake in letting him go and are desperate to snap him up again.
He’s racking up the appearances
Very few 21-year-old’s in England, or on the continent, will have played as vital a role as Bellerin over the last two seasons.
Unfortunately for Mathieu Debuchy, he’s now a nailed-on starter under Wenger at Arsenal and made the most appearances (36) for the north London outfit last term, with compatriot and fellow full-back Monreal not far behind.
Unsurprisingly, Bellerin is racking up the appearances this term too and has started every match for the Gunners apart from their 4-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup.
If Man City or Barca are set to land the Bellerin, they will be safe in the knowledge that the defender possesses an old head on young shoulders as a result of a wealth of experience he’s already picked up.
He’s already recognised as a star by his peers
It’s not just Marcus Rashford who has been singing the praises of Bellerin since his breakthrough at the Emirates as shown by his selection in the 2015/16 PFA Team of the Year.
The right-back was the only member of Arsene Wenger’s squad to be recognised by his fellow peers for the XI which undoubtedly would have alerted the likes of City and Barca.
Worried yet, Arsenal fans…?
Barca set to extend contract with Ter Stegen
After the error from the current no.1 goalkeeper, FC Barcelona have never being in doubt about extending the contract of Marc Andre Ter Stegen. During the last summer, Ter Stegen received a tempting offer from Manchester City which he turned down. Instead, the club decided to let Bravo go and sign a contract extension with the German goalkeeper.
According to Catalan based press media Sport,FC Barcelona are began the process of contract extension with Ter Stegen. Even with the error from the club’s first choice goalkeeper that resulted to the loss of the weekend game, the club is ready to reach an agreement that will last till 2021. This would mean an increase in his salary and also his release clause which is current at 80 million euros.
The Catalan club is ready to keep the goalkeeper till 2021 because his profile fit with what Barca needs from a goalkeeper.

Messi is still the world's best player in the year 2016
Despite Lionel Messi has being out of play for about two weeks and completely missed out in three games and the entire second half against Atletico Madrid, he still has the best numbers in terms of both goals and assist for the year 2016. The list compiled is the most direct involvement in goals which

37-year-old Ph.D Student Seeks Dissolution of 9-year-old Marriage over Sex Starvation
A 37-year-old housewife, Rofiat H., on Friday asked an Ojaoba Sharia Court of Arbitration in Ibadan to dissolve the 9-year-old union with her husband,Nurain, based on sexual starvation and neglect.
Narrating her ordeal, Rofiat said that her husband had neglected her in every area of marital life, including sex.
“As soon as we wedded, Nurain directed me to become a full time housewife which meant that I must do nothing to earn a living.
At the same time, there had been little or nothing to cater for the growing responsibilities in the home, especially the educational needs of the children.
I pleaded with him to give me a portion of his shop to start selling some petty things, but Nurain rejected the idea.
I then told him that I secured a teaching job in a private university and it did not go down well with him.
Nurain and I were products of that same university for our degrees, but I have since proceeded for my Masters and I am even on my Ph.D. programme now.
Nurain has not shown any understanding over this, but instead quarrels with me for no reason.
During the last two Ramadan fasting periods, Nurain did not even know that I existed.
My lord, Nurain has locked up our bedroom that could serve as a point of meeting for any sexual activity.
The only reason he gave for our last quarrel was that I refused to carry his bag for him after opening the entrance door.
I have since reported him to all his relatives, but nothing has changed,”Rofiat stated.
The defendant was, however, not in the court to react to the allegations leveled against him.
The President of the court, Sheikh Hamad Tiamiyu, asked Rofiat to support her allegations with witnesses.
He said the witnesses, who must be five, must have three females and two males or vice versa.
Tiamiyu also directed her to put her claims in writing while adjourning the case to September 29 for further hearing.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Rofiat and Nurain reside at Odo Ona-Elewe area of Ibadan.
Buhari’s Approach to Anti-Corruption is Wrong; It Is Scaring Away Investors – Senator Bruce
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce (PDP Bayelsa East) on Thursday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to adjust his approach to the anti-corruption crusade, saying policy was scaring investors.
Bruce, who disclosed this while contributing to the Senate’s debate on the economic recession in the country, said that Nigeria should not expect foreign investments as even local investors had stopped investing.
He said that people who had money to invest were no longer doing so because the anti-graft agencies were harassing any person with cash transactions running into millions.
“Buhari’s approach to anti-corruption is wrong: let us forget the foreign investors, what about the local investors?
If people are afraid, they will not invest; fear will not be a policy to grow the economy.
Money is a coward; it only goes to places where there is peace and tranquility.
I have a friend who paid legitimate N50 million into his account and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)came and picked him up.
